A review is made of the present situation of theoretical study on the structure, charge and discharge process and mechanism of active substances in nickel battery. Its developments in wet synthesing technology is introduced, and the relationship between synthesizing methods and spherical nickel hydroxide's structure and performance are discussed. Some views related to further improvement of the electrochemical performance of the spherieal nickel hydroxide are put forward theoretically and practically.
