Toughening of bismaleimide(BMI) with allyl compounds,diamines,thermoplastic resins,rubbers etc.and synthesis of some new types of monors for BMI were in detail given.This review described their principles and research advances,and discussed the virtues and the defects as well as application fields of the toughening ways.
