摘要
英雄史诗在欧洲中世纪文坛独领风骚,其题材内容(战争、英雄、宗教),既继承了古代史诗描写的传统,又超越了传统,预示着文学题材内容发展的新方向,成了欧洲文学史上连接古代与近代的核心链条。通过分析中世纪史诗的题材内容,可以进一步了解欧洲文学的发展脉络,较为客观地评价中世纪文学在欧洲文学史上的地位。
The heroic epic plays a unique role in the European Medieval literature. In terms of theme and content ( war,hero and religion), it not only inherits but also transcends the tradition in epic description. It predicts the new orientation of the literary theme and content and thus becomes the core chain linking the ancient and modern European literature. An analysis of the theme and content of the medieval epic provides a further understanding of the development of the European literature and a more objective evaluation of the position of the medieval epic in the history of the European literature.
