话音业务是移动通信系统的主要业务,提供高质量话音通话是一项关键技术,文章介绍两种提高话音QoS的技术——TFO(tandemfreeoperation)和TrFO(transcoderfreeoperation)。在分析它们的操作原理后,对二者的性能和优缺点作了比较,最后讨论它们应用于3G系统时遇到的问题,给出相应的解决方案。
Speech service is the main service of mobile communication syste ms, and providing high quality speech service is the key technology. This articl e describes the two technologies for improving speech QoS--TFO(tandem free opera tion) and TrFO (transcoder free operation). After analyzing their principles of operation, the pros and cons of TFO and TrFO are compared. Finally, the problems encountered in its application in 3G are discussed and corresponding solutions are given.
