Objective: To investigate the effect of ligustrazine hydrochloride injection combined with rosuvastatin on serum homocysteine (Hcy) and lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2 (Lp-PLA2) levels and quality of life in the patients with transient ischemic attack (TIA). Methods: 82 cases of TIA patients admitted to our hospital from April 2015 to February 2017 were selected as subjects investigated and randomly divided into two groups. 41 cases in each group. The patients in the control group were given conventional treatment. The patients in the experimental group were given ligustrazine hydrochloride injection (160~200 mg added to 250 mL 0.9% sodium chloride injection, qd) plus rosuvastatin (10 mg, qd) treatment. The therapeutic effects, changes of serum Hcy and Lp-PLA2 levels and quality of life were compared between the two groups. Results: The total effective rate in the experimental group was 92.68%, which was higher than 65.85% in the control group (P<0.05). The levels of serum Lp-PLA2 and Hcy in the experimental group were significantly lower than those in the control group, and the scores of the quality of life in the experimental group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Ligustrazine hydrochloride injection combined with rosuvastatin is effective in the treatment of TIA, and can reduce serum Hcy and Lp-PLA2 levels and improve the quality of life of patients.
