为了有效应对英国学校教育存在的问题,英国首相特雷莎·梅上任后出台了《为了每个人的学校绿皮书》,以建设优质且面向每个人的学校。《为了每个人的学校绿皮书》主要包括四方面:独立学校应直接协助国家资助部门给予父母更多的学校选择权利;大学应在提高学校质量和学生素质方面发挥关键作用;政府应扶持文法学校并确保其对各种背景的学生开放;教会学校应提供更好的学习机会,并加强其对包容性的保障。分析《为了每个人的学校绿皮书》对首相特雷莎·梅未来的教育改革有一定实践意义,尽管它能否顺利实施仍然存在较大争议。
In order to effectively cope with the problems with the British school education,the British Prime Minister Teresa May has issued an official document Schools that Work for Everyone Green Paper targeted at the construction of high-quality studentoriented schools nationwide. According to the document,the state funding agencies should,with the assistance of the independent schools,make sure that students attend schools of their choice; colleges and universities should play a key role in improving the quality of education and students as well; the government should make grammar schools available to students of all backgrounds;church schools should be more inclusive so that they can provide better learning opportunities. There is some controversy over whether this document can be implemented.
