摘要
英语文献阅读是研究生从事学习与科研的重要活动之一。与通用英语阅读相比,研究生阅读英语文献时倾向于频繁运用宏观理解策略。这些策略包括根据篇章标题与格式预测文章内容,根据背景知识猜测文章内容,对文章观点提出质疑或个人见解等。研究生阅读英语文献时对宏观理解策略的使用存在心理学依据:首先,英语文献阅读图式存在鲜明的收敛性,这为运用宏观理解策略提供了理论条件;其次,英语文献阅读具有直接的工具性动机,这为运用宏观理解策略提供了现实动力。
One important work postgraduate students conduct in their academic learning and research is to read English-delivered academic literature.Compared with reading EGP,they tend to adopt macro-understanding strategies frequently in the course of reading English literature.The strategies include making predictions based on titles,subtitles or discourse structure,guessing meanings on the back of academic background knowledge and challenging or making personal points over the writer's arguments.The adoption of macro-understanding strategies is well-grounded psychologically.Firstly,the reading schema concerning English academic literature is notably narrow,which facilitates the use of macro-understanding strategies.Secondly,the reading of academic literature has its direct instrumental motivation.This provides a practical impetus for the use of macro-understanding strategies.
