摘要
华侨现象源远流长。比较完整与正规意义上的华侨 ,乃是近代的产物 ,是近代西方殖民主义、资本主义发展的产物。华侨是近代中外文明交流与交汇的重要载体。华侨在海外所进行的文明交流 ,是在母国文明与侨居国文明环境双重恶劣的条件下 。
The origin of the overseas Chinese goes back to ancient times. The phenomenon of the overseas Chinese resulted from modern colonialism and capitalism. The overseas Chinese has been an important carrier of the sino-abroad civilization interchange. It needs to be pointed out that the overseas Chinese has contributed to the spread of the Chinese civilization all over the world usually under the adverse circumstances.
