摘要
理念是制度与实践在思想层面的集中反映,对理念的考察成为观察与理解台湾新闻传播教育的重要面向。新闻传播学科的应用属性及其与'公共性'的紧密关联,以及台湾地区特殊的历史脉络与政经结构促成了台湾新闻传播教育理念的独特演进路径:自台湾新闻传播教育诞生始,实用主义理念便在政策与市场的引导和支持下一直居于统领地位;直至'解严'后,社会力量的崛起、公民社会的成长与新闻传播学科自主意识觉醒方才推动理性主义理念在对实用主义理念的批判与反思中发展起来。近年来,台湾新闻传播教育试图在理性思维、人文素养与专业知识,通识教育与职业训练之间寻求一种平衡,其理念呈现出实用主义与理性主义融合发展的趋向。
Idea is the concentrated reflection of the system and practice at the ideological level,and the observation of ideas is an important dimension to understand the journalism and communication education in Taiwan.Considering the applied attribute of the journalism and communication discipline and its close relationship with publicity,as well as the special historical development path and political and economic structure in Taiwan,the evolution path of the ideas of journalism and communication education in Taiwan is unique:since the beginning of journalism and communication education,the idea of pragmatism has been in dominance thanks to the support of government policies and market mechanisms.With the emergence of social forces and the independent consciousness of the journalism and communication discipline,which benefitted from the democratic transition in Taiwan,the idea of rationalism has been developing in the criticism and reflection on the idea of pragmatism.In recent years,journalism and communication education in Taiwan has been exploring the balances among rational thinking,humanistic literacy and professional knowledge,and between general education and occupational training.As a result,the idea of pragmatism and the idea of rationalism have shifted from divergence to convergence,and journalism and communication education has exhibited an eclectic and convergent orientation.
