摘要
目的探讨Vimentin蛋白表达与胃癌临床病理特征及预后关系。方法用免疫组化方法分析102例接受根治术患者胃癌组织中的Vimentin蛋白表达水平,比较Vimentin不同表达水平与胃癌临床病理特点及患者预后关系。结果胃癌组织中Vimentin高表达率为56.9%(58/102)。Vimentin在胃癌组织中的高表达与患者年龄、性别及肿瘤部位无关,但与肿瘤分期、浸润深度、淋巴结转移、脉管浸润、组织分型、大体分型以及肿瘤大小相关,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。Vimentin高表达患者5年生存率为35.9%,显著低于Vimentin低表达患者的65.5%(P<0.05)。多因素回归分析表明浸润深度、肿瘤大小、Vimentin蛋白高表达是本组胃癌患者的独立预后因素。结论胃癌组织Vimentin蛋白高表达患者的肿瘤临床病理特征较差及预后不良,Vimentin蛋白有望作为胃癌恶性生物学特性的有效标记物。
Objective To investigate the relationships of Vimentin protein expression with clinicopathological features and prognosis in gastric cancer.Methods Clinicopathological and prognostic data of 102 cases with gastric cancer undergoing radical gastrectomy from January 2006 to December 2008 were collected.Vimentin protein expression in gastric cancer specimens was tested by immunohistochemistry method.The clinicopathological characteristics and prognosis were compared between the high and low Vimentin expression groups.Results The positive rate of high Vimentin expression was 56.9%.The high Vimentin expression was not correlated with age,gender,tumor location,but significantly with TNM stages,invasion depth,lymph node metastasis,vessel invasion,histological types,gross types and tumor size.The5 year survival rate of the patients with high Vimentin expression was 35.9%,significantly lower than 65.5%of those with low Vimentin expression(P<0.05).Multivariant Cox regression analysis revealed that invasion depth,tumor size and high Vimentin expression were independent prognostic factor.Conclusions The overexpression of Vimentin protein is correlated with worse clinicopathological features and poor prognosis.Vimentin protein may be a useful biomarker to predict tumor aggressiveness of gastric cancer.
