摘要
“岭北”是十六国时期西北地区重要的地理概念,其大致范围在陇山以东、子午岭以西关中西北的黄土高原上。东汉以降,大量羌胡迁入泾河上游岭北之地。于是该地既有连通秦凉、朔方与关中之地利,又有丰厚的人力资源。十六国诸政权重视岭北之得失进而对其着力建设。如汉赵国于高平置朔州,至后秦时原魏晋安定郡已分出五个新郡。“岭北”地名正是在西北诸政治势力尤其是后秦与苻登、赫连夏连年征战之中应运而生的。
Lingbei( north of the ridge,岭北),a part of Loess Plateau from Mountain Long(陇山)to Meridian Ridge(Ziwu Ling,子午岭),was an important geopolitical conception in the era of the Sixteen Kingdoms. Since Eastern Han, lots of Qiang and Hun people migrated to Lingbei the drainage area of the upper reaches of the Jing River. The northwest members of the Sixteen Kingdoms showed much concern over Lingbei for its traffic advantage and rich human resources. For example, Han Zhao set up Shuo Zhou( a province-level division of ancient China) in Gaoping, Later Qin separated the former Anding Commandery into five new commanderies. Lingbei, as a historical toponym, emerged during the battles between Later Qin, the remaining forces of Former Qin, and Xia.
