摘要
分别从词汇、句法及修辞三方面分析了英语广告的特点:词汇上大量使用形容词、缩写词和外来词;句法上多用简单句、祈使句、疑问句及省略句;修辞方面常用明喻、暗喻、拟人、双关、夸张等手法。
Based on vocabulary, syntax and rhetoric, the paper analyses the features of English advertisement: from vocabulary it remains the features as using a large number of adjectives, abbreviations and loanwords; from syntax it frequently uses simple sentences, imperative sentences, interrogative sentences and elliptical; from rhetoric it frequently uses simile, metaphor, personification, pun and hyperbole.
