摘要
《射雕英雄传》英译本的出版发行,再次引起人们对武侠小说的关注,也引发了学术界对金庸小说这类具有特定文化背景作品英译的讨论。本文通过比较Goodreads及英美亚马逊官网上四部金庸小说英译版的读者评价和销量排行,探讨此次《射雕英雄传》引起英语世界关注的原因,分析其成功传播的经验,为武侠小说翻译及中国文学外译提供借鉴。
The publication of Legends of the Condor Heroes I:A Hero Born has attracted people’s attention to Wuxia fiction once again,which in turn has triggered discussions in academic circles on the English translation of Louis Cha’s novels and their specific cultural backgrounds.By comparing the reader evaluations and sales rankings on the Goodreads website with the four English versions of Louis Cha’s novels on Amazon’s official website,this paper tries to find out the reasons why Legends of the Condor Heroes I:A Hero Born has attracted so much attention from the perspective of translation.The successful experience of Legends of the Condor Heroes I:A Hero Born’s dissemination in the English world can be used as a reference for the translation and dissemination of Wuxia fiction and Chinese literature.
