摘要
段玉裁对词义引申的研究 ,开创了系统研究汉字本义及其引申义的新方法 :以汉字的形体为依据 ,探求字的本义 ;以字的本义为核心 ,推求词义的引申线索 ,重建每一个词语的词义系统。而且 ,段氏已经发现了词义引申规律与人类的思维发展规律之间的关系 ,勾勒出了一些词义引申规律的雏形 ,认识到了词义引申的普遍性、系统性与规律性 ,为后人建立起完整的词义引申系统作出了巨大的贡献。
Duan Yu cai's research on the extended meaning of words has created a new approach to the systematic study of primary meaning and extended meaning of Chinese characters: on the basis of the form of a Chinese character, to explore its primary meaning; with the primary meaning as the core, to seek out the extending line of the character's meaning and reconstruct the meaning system of an expression. Besides, Duan discovers the relation between the extending pattern of a character's meaning and the developing pattern of man's thinking, provides an outline of the extending pattern of some words and realizes the universality, systematicness and regularity of meaning extending of a word, and so makes great contribution to helping the later generations to establish a complete system of the extending of meaning.
