摘要
葛浩文翻译的《生死疲劳》在英语世界获得巨大成功。葛浩文主要采用异化法和省略法翻译《生死疲劳》中的谚语,他的翻译原则是保留异语文化,语义对应,不刻意追求美学对等。葛浩文力图呈现谚语的异质性,不仅使《生死疲劳》中谚语蕴含的中华文化很好地呈现在西方读者面前,而且为西方读者建构了真实的"他者形象",也解构了西方读者的文化心理,为西方读者认知世界多元文化提供了更客观的平台。葛浩文的翻译为促进中华文化走出去提供了有益的借鉴。
Mo Yan’s Life and Death are Wearing Me Out,translated by Howard Goldblatt won a huge success in the English world. Goldblatt translates the proverbs mainly using the methods of minoritizing translation and omission translation,and adhering to the principles of keeping cultural heterogeneity,keeping semantic equivalent,not sedulously pursuiting the aesthetic equivalence in the original text. Goldblatt’s proverb translation not only disseminates the Chinese culture to western readers,but also constructs the authentic 'other image'. Goldblatt’s proverb translation deconstructs the cultural psychology of western readers,providing them with a more objective platform to cognitive world multi-culture. Howard Goldblatt’s translation is beneficial to promote Chinese culture in the world.
