摘要
内蒙古赤峰(原昭乌达盟)地区,地处长城地带西拉木伦河流域的南部,东接科尔沁沙地,西北为昭乌达高原,西南和东南分别为七老图山和努鲁儿虎山。该地区以丘陵为主,间有河流谷地,是中国历史上中原文化与北方草原文化分布的中间地带。
In 1999, the Chifeng Collaborative Archaeological Survey Team investigated 414 sites and collected specimens from 793 spots in the lower valleys of the Banzhijian and Xibo rivers, within an area of 160 sq km. The localities belong to the Xinglongwa, Zhaobaogou, Hongshan, Xiaoheyan, Lower Xiajiadian and Upper Xiajiadian cultures, the Warring States period through the Han Dynasty, and Liao times respectively. The present paper is mainly an introduction to the field and laboratory working methods of regional archaeological survey and an objective report of the results of the surveys. The results are greatly valuable to inquiring into the distribution of ancient sites in this area.
