摘要
法律语言学是运用语言学的原理和知识 ,结合法学各部门的某些语言实践 ,探索和总结法律语言的特点和规律 ,解决法学和语言学所涉及的事件和运用的问题。法律语言是指人们在立法、司法等实践中所使用的语言。作为一种语域变体 ,法律英语是英美法系国家经过长期的司法实践逐步形成的自己所特有的表达模式和规范 ,它包括了某些词汇、短语、习惯用语或特定的表达方式。法律英语之所以存在是由于其准确性、正式性、晦涩难懂、模糊性等特点所决定的。
Forensic linguistics, by means of the principles and knowledge of linguistics and combing with the practice of language used by legal branches, probes into and summarizes the features and regulations of the legal language and finds a solution to the issues concerning law and linguistics. Legal English refers to the language applied in legislation, judicature, etc. As a register, legal English is a special mode of expression and norm developed by a long practice of judicature in the common law countries. It also includes some vocabulary, phrases, idioms and special way of expressions. The reason why legal English exists is that it has several characteristics as precision, formality, legalese and ambiguity.
