One of the techniques for accelerating the convergence of the Schwarz alternating me-thod is the pseudo-boundary relaxation. Evans, Kang et al. proposed a pseudo-boundary re-laxation procedure and analysed its convergence for model problems[1]. In this paper a morenatural pseudo-boundary relaxation. procedure s proposed and it is shown to have smaller con-vergence factor than the method proposed in [1] for general self-adjoint ellipic problems.
