摘要
在2000t/a乙丙橡胶聚合装置上,采用以石油醚为溶剂、三氮氧钒-倍半氯代乙基铝为催化剂的常压溶液连续聚合法,并加入三氯乙酸乙酯进行分子量调节,制得适宜用作润滑油粘度指数改进剂的乙丙二元共聚物胶液。研究和设计了生产该乙丙共聚物的后处理工艺,中试工艺为连续操作,干胶处理能力为250t/a。在此基础上,设计并建成了年产干胶2000t的工业生产装置,该装置流程简单,操作容易,已进入正常工业生产。
Ethylene propylene copolymer with molecular weight 50 000 - 100 000 for use as viscosity index improver in lubricating oil has been manufactured and a commercial unit has been built up in Synthetic Rubber Factory of Lanzhou Chemical Industry Corporation .This copolymer has excellent thickening power , oxidation stability andshear stability as compared with other types of viscosity index improver .The polymerization of ethylene propylene copolyer is proceeded in a 2000 t/a (dry rubber) unit for the polymerization of ethylene propylene rubber , using petroleum ether as solvent and trichloroethyl acetate (ETCA) as molecular weight regulator ,by using atmospheric pressure continuous solution polymerization . The process of post-treatment includes the addition of base oil to copolymer solution , atmospheric pressure evaporation , and reduced pressure evaporation . Finally , ethylene propylene copolymer is transferred entirely from the solvent petroleum ether to the solvent base oil , obtaining the product T-604 .It was found that when the addition of ETCA was controlled properly , the value of [η] could be adjusted in the range of 0.6- 1.2dL/g (Figure), Mw<100000, Mw / Mn<3.5 , thus showing ETCA is an effectivemolecular weight regulator.The ethylene propylene copolymer in T-604 has a lower [η] ,adding large amount of base oil can decrease its viscosity ,and adopting the measures of heating and exerting an external force can make the copolymer to be aviscous fluid .Table shows the analytical results of T-604 in continuous pilot tests , this polymerization process using ETCA as molecular weight regulator can meet the needs for the qualifications of the product . The viscosity index improver T-604 with all-round qualified properties hasbeen produced in a 2 000 t/a unit .
