The wonder in Chinese philosophy and culture, Zhou Yi ( The Book of Changes ), may shed light upon certain ambiguities that Deconstruction fails to fathom: First, the concept of changeability can be read in contrast with Derida's notion of 'differance,' so as to make its process of deconstructing, integrating and re constructing more meaningful. Second, the principle of yin and yang in The Book of Changes can be used to reveal the very 'differance' employed by deconstruction as its aim as well as its strategy to subvert conventional opposition and dualism, which actually forms a new dualism to logo centrism that it attempts to destroy all the time. Third, since the dualism of yin and yang in The Book of Changes can be changed with the changes of position in time and space, what is needed in deconstruction to subvert the dualities in certain oppositions, such as words/speech, center/margin, etc. can be easily changed as well, with the changes of time and space. However, the essential principle of yin and yang cannot be changed in any case, which may account for the reason why feminism determined by the influence of deconstruction has made very little progress.
