本文讨论我国语言学界的所谓“两张皮”的问题。主要分析了“两张皮”产生的背景 ,介绍了现在比较引人注目的以解释为目的的语言研究现象 ,并对汉语界和外 (英 )
The present paper probes into two kinds of approaches in linguistic research, with its focus on the methodology in the linguistic study. The paper falls into four parts: the part first discusses briefly the background of the differences in linguistic approach of Chinese circle and foreign languages circle, namely, data-oriented approach and theory-oriented approach;the second part introduces the current turn in linguistics which takes explanatory adequacy as its ultimate goal. The third and the forth part deal with some of the misconceptions in linguistic approach of Chinese circle and foreign languages circle respectively. The paper ends with a summary in the fifth part.
