摘要
以书画名世的赵孟兆页在文学创作上也堪称"一代文宗"。其诗寄兴蕴藉,平和温厚,文笔清邃隽秀,纡曲沉稳,一扫宋季余习,开倡了元诗特有的诗歌风范;其词别具一格,不同流俗,一方面秉承姜张派以雅正为宗的传统,同时又直续北宋词自然率真的传统,多数作品不事雕饰,少用典故,造语浅白清丽,情韵婉曲幽深;其散文在道学气浓重的元代文坛上是少有的文士之文,注重文章实用功能的同时也讲求文章的审美效应,总体风格平易晓畅,从容大度,为元文之佼佼者。
Zhao mengfu, who enjoyed high reputation for his calligraphy and painting, was also a 'great master' in literary creation. His placid and restrained poems together with his elegant and graceful style brought the prevailing practice of the Song dynasty to an end and added a peculiar poetic flavor to the poetry of the Yuan Dynasty. His unique Ci works, followingf the elegant style of JiangZhang are natural and free from allusions, with a plain diction and a lingering appeal. His prose, which was unique in the Confucian literary circle of his age, attached importance not only to the practical textual functions but also to the aesthetic effects and, in consequence, his prosaic plain style made him stand out from other men of letters.
