摘要
γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) is an inhibitory neurotransmitter in the brain and its degradation is mainly caused by GABA-transaminase (GABA-T). γ-vinyl GABA (GVG), which was recently found to act as a specific inhibitor of GABA-T in vivo, can greatly increase the GABA content in brain for several days after ip injection and last for several days. In the present work we studied the effect of the increase in brain GABA content induced by intracerebroventricular (icv) GVG injection on electroacupuncture (EA) and morphine analgesia.
