摘要
随着中国与世界各国交流的日益增多,汉语对英语的影响也不断在扩大,具有中国特色的词汇不断涌现出来,彰显出其独特的表达优势。所谓中国特色词汇,是指那些反映中国文化、展示汉语内涵、传播中国特色的词汇。由于中英语言的差异,如何恰当地表达这些中国特色词汇成为汉英翻译中的一大难题。本文以大学英语四六级汉译英真题为例,试图探讨中国特色词汇汉译英的翻译策略,通过阐述这些翻译策略使大家了解中国特色词汇在英语交际中是怎样被转换并被使用的,同时对学生更好地处理大学英语四六级汉译英有所启发,对学生通过英语四六级考试有所帮助。
With the increasing communication between China and the rest of the world, the influence of Chinese on English is expanding, and the vocabulary with Chinese characteristics emerges constantly, showing its unique expressive advantage. The words with Chinese characteristics refer to those words that reflect Chinese culture, show the connotation of Chinese and spread Chinese characteristics. Due to the differences in Chinese and English languages, how to properly express these words with Chinese characteristics has become a major problem in C-E translation. Taking CET-4 and CET-6 as examples, this paper attempts to explore the translation strategies of Chinese-English words with Chinese characteristics, and to explain these strategies so that we can understand how Chinese words are converted and used in English communication. At the same time, it is helpful for students to better deal with CET-4 and CET-6 C-E translation, and to help students pass CET-4 and CET-6.
