摘要
该文以FAA颁发的FAA System Safety Handbook及其中译本为例,自建民航中英双语平行语料库,探讨了民航英语文本中的关联词翻译问题。结果表明:在关联词运用情况上,原文与译文存在较大差异。英译汉时译者采用了合译、转译、省译等多种方法,以符合译语的表达习惯。
The present study, based on a self-established bilingual parallel corpus, explores the translation of the conjunctions in aviation English on a case study of FAA System Safety Handbook and its Chinese version. The main findings are as follows: there is a large difference between English and Chinese in the usage of conjunctions; when doing E-C translation, the translator adopts the methods of adding, omission and combination, etc. so that the target text can be in accordance with Chinese expressions.
