摘要
本研究基于学习者视角,通过一项针对某高校479名非英语专业学生大学英语外教教学的调查,发现外教在个人魅力、语言表达和教学模式等方面具有一定的优势,而在对教学对象的了解、教学目的的明晰和教学计划的系统性等层面有所欠缺。在今后的大学英语教学中,外教应在中国文化素养、语言技能侧重和教学素材选取等方面加以提升。
Based on learners’perspective, this study administered a questionnaire of 479 non-English majors to explore the partic?ipants’feedback on college English teaching of foreign teachers. The results showed that a foreign teacher may be advantageous in personality, English expression and teaching modes, but disadvantageous in understanding his or her students, clarifying teaching objectives and designing systematic teaching activities. It is suggested that college English teaching of foreign teachers be im?proved in Chinese culture literacy, language skill priority and teaching material selection.
