文章概述了转换生成语言学和系统功能语言学理论创建和发展的历程,从研究角度、研究对象和研究方法三个方面阐述了两种学说的主要差别,并指出两者之间也存在着一些共通之处,有互补交流的可能。
This article summarizes the establishment and development of transformational generative linguistics and systemic-functional linguistics, elaborates the major differences between them in terms of the perspective, subject and methodology of re-search, and points out the similarities between these two schools of linguistics as well as the possibility for them to reach a com-promise.
