摘要
翻译是跨文化交流重要手段之一,通过对中国传统文化和习俗与习语的翻译,该文对《药》的两个译本(分别为杨宪益和戴乃迭的译本和威廉·莱尔的译本)进行比较分析,从而发现两个译本在保留原文的文化意象和文化传播上都有其利弊之处。
Translation is one of the most important means of cross-cultural communication.In the thesis a comparative study of the two English versions of Yao given by Yang Hsien-yi and Gladys Yang and William A.Lyell is conducted respectively from the translation of Chinese traditional culture,customs and idioms.According to the analysis,the two translations of Yao by the Yangs and Lyell have their own advantages and disadvantages of retaining the cultural images of the original and cultural transmission.
