摘要
有效交流和国际交流需要中西方称谓词知识。研究通过访谈法和观察法获取河南省宜阳县,美国新新那提市和英国伦敦市当地政府、医院、企业、市场、学校、家庭以及几档娱乐节目的第一手称谓词资料,再对信息进行分析和整理,最后写出研究报告。结果表明:在各国政府机构中,权势决定了称谓词的选择;资历在医务人员选择称谓词时起了主导作用;中国企业员工依据权势选择称谓词;中美英三国市场内部依据顾客年龄选择称谓词;中英两国老师依据上下级关系选择称谓词;中美学生用职业称谓词称呼老师;三个国家都依据家庭成员的辈分关系确定称呼;媒体称谓词的选择依据年龄和资历。
This research aims to collect information on current addressing terms by carrying out interviews in the local governments, hospitals, enterprises, markets, schools, families in Yiyang County Henan Province, in Cincinnati and in London as well as by watching Happy Camp, American Idol and the X Factor. The findings show that power plays a vital role in choosing addressing terms in the local governments; qualifications influence how medical personnel address each other; workers in Dayang Company choose to address colleagues mainly by job titles; the interviewed salesclerks address customers according to their age; teachers in China and Britain address each other in accordance with their social status;Chinese and American students involved use professional addressing terms to address their teachers; people address their family members according to family ties; the staff working in the media choose addressing terms based on age and qualifications.
