摘要
认知语法的典型意义概念假设认为,词语的意义是一个由各种相互联系的意义所构成的网络系统,词语的典型意义对理解其隐喻等扩展意义非常关键。意象层次概念反映人们具有以不同的方式构造感知同一情景的能力。将认知语法理论运用到英语词汇习得中,不仅有助于学习者对词汇的扩展意义进行认知,而且有助于学习者对于词汇的系统掌握,并能在语言输出中提高语言质量。
The hypothesis of Prototypical Meanings in cognitive grammar holds that the meaning of a word is a network constructed by a variety of interrelated meanings,among which the prototypical meaning is essential to the understanding of its extended meanings such as metaphorical meaning.The Dimensions of Imagery reflect human being's capacity to sense and structure the same incidence via different ways.The explorations of English vocabulary acquisition from cognitive grammar approach are not only conducive to learners' cognition of words' extended meanings,but also contribute to the mastery of English vocabulary systematically,and in turn enable learners to improve the quality of language output.
