摘要
传教士汉文小说在中西文学与文化、宗教与文学之间展开多重碰撞和交流,具有重要的学术研究价值。著名汉学家韩南教授开辟了这一学术研究领域,就传教士汉文小说的基本概念、发展历史、研究内容、基础性文献及文学影响等基本命题展开讨论。他独特的研究视角和方法,以及由此得出的结论,令人耳目一新。韩南的开创性研究引起了学术界的广泛兴趣,使得这一领域的研究获得迅速发展。目前已基本形成上自晚明、下至晚清及民国,打通古代到现代,兼及中西文学的整体研究格局。在学术阵容上,中国大陆学者与港澳台及国际学者则逐渐形成合力,共同推进该项研究。
The Chinese missionary novel, created from the later Ming dynasty to the Republic of China, has important academic research value as it sheds light on the multiple collisions and exchanges between Chinese and Western literature and culture, and between religion and literature. Prof. Patrick Hanan, a renowned Sinologist, opened up this academic domain and explored the fundamental issues, such as its basic concepts, historical development, study contents, basic literature and literary impact. His unique research perspectives and methodology as well as the resulting conclusions are refreshingly original. As a result, his groundbreaking research has aroused broad interest in the academic circle and initiated the rapid development in this research domain. To date, a comprehensive research pattern has basically formed and scholars from China's Mainland, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao and X overseas are making a joint effort to expand the ever-increasing frontiers of this research domain.
