摘要
手术缝合线是在损伤或手术后用以保持身体组织不分离的一种医疗用品。缝合线已有几千年的历史,现已发展有不同形状、尺寸和材料的产品。材料方面,缝合线起初的来源有植物(如亚麻、汉麻和棉花等)和动物(如毛发、肌腱、血管、肌肉条和神经,以及蚕丝、羊肠线等)。阐述了有关手术缝合线的类型、性能和材料,及其光明前景。
Surgical suture is a medical device used to hold body tissues together after an injury or surgery. A number of different shapes,sizes and thread materials have been developed over its millennia of history. Sutures were originally made of plant materials( flax,hemp and cotton) or animal materials( hair,tendons,arteries,muscle strips and nerves,silk,catgut). This paper will give a broad outlook about the surgical suture in terms of types,characteristics and materials used.
