摘要
中国文学“走出去”,不仅要靠翻译,也要靠中文自身,即中文原著的简写。目前,面向中国读者的名著缩写本琳琅满目,而面向外国读者的名著简写本品种稀少。同缩写本相比,简写本在语言难度控制、阅读目的定位和语言特色存舍等方面的要求有着显著差异,常用规范化、明确化、去除低频词和复现等手段降低语言难度。为了提高名著简写本的可读性,首先,应从外国人的视角选择要简写的作品;其次,要提高简写的文学质量,以剪裁凸显主线内容的可读性,保证关键局部的细节生动丰满,内容忠实于原著,并适度地对原著阐幽明微;再次,兼顾可读性与可懂度,宜于采取大文本策略。名著简写本可以激发外国读者的阅读兴趣,使中国文学不仅“走出去”,而且“走进去”,即让读者产生乐趣进而深受影响。
To expand the influence of Chinese literature depends not only on translation,but also on the simplification of the Chinese original.At present,there is a wide range of abridged works for Chinese readers,but there are few simplified copies easier for foreign readers to read.Simplified texts are different from abridged works in making the texts easier to read with specific orientation and language characteristics.This article holds that in order to improve the readability of Chinese literature,we should select the right works to simplify to satisfy the need of foreigners.We should also guarantee the literary quality of the works when they are simplified.The main plot line should be highlighted without sacrificing the vividness and richness of the details.Interpretations to the original text should also be ready when necessary.Finally,readability always matters.Foreign readers would become interested in and appreciate Chinese literature only when they can understand what they read.
