To explore the constituents of volatile components in dichondra from different producing areas, gas chromatography-mass spectrometry was used to test the volatile components of dichondra samples from Hebei,Guangxi,Sichuan,Guizhou, and Zhejiang Province, and the relative contents of the components were calculated using peak area normalization method.0.5 g of Dichondra repens sample was weighed, and ethyl acetate was used as the extraction solvent, cold dipped for 2 h,low temperature ultrasonic extraction for 30 min,and the filtrate was used as the sample solution.Thirty-five components such as organic acid, alcohols, alkenes, esters and alkanes from five areas of dichondra were illustrated by library searching.Among them, fourteen kinds were common components, and another six kinds were the specific components of the area. The hexadecyclic acid, linoleic acid,betulinol,α-linolenic acid,β-sitosterol,canola oil sterol and stigasterol were the relatively high content of volatile components, the relative contents were 27.99%,13.14%,12.91%,11.83%,11.64%,8.16%and 5.28%.This method can be used for quantitative analysis of various volatile components in the dichondra, which provides a reference for the quality control and pharmacodynamic study of the gold.
