A comprehensive analysis of bronze swords with human faces and bow-shaped guards reveals that these distinctive weapons were prevalent from the Warring States period to the mid-Western Han Dynas-ty.These swords, found in various locations, are believed to have been produced by the Gouding Culture in the southeastern Yunnan and northwestern Guangxi regions before spreading to other areas. The decorations on these swords reflect religious beliefs, particularly the worship of the Sun God and bird totems.
