摘要
张湄著有《瀛百咏》,为其吟咏台湾风物之写实作品,对了解当时台湾地区的风物民情,大有神益。兹以笔者数年前发现乾隆七年刊刻的《瀛百咏》一卷为底本,结合笔者成长背景、务农经验,分析《瀛百咏》中有关食物和水果的书写,以探讨清代前期台湾社会之农业生活。其中食物分为主食、副食、饮料、调味品;主食又细分为小米、“都都”;副食则为鹿肉、鱼肉;饮料专指酒;调味品则指蔗糖。水果方面有:、西瓜、菩提果、番柑、番橘、波罗蜜、菠萝、番梨等。
Zhang Mei He is the author of Yingruan Baiyong(One Hundred Odes of Taiwan).One Hundred Odes of Taiwan is a realistic work eulogizing the customs of Taiwan late in the first half of the 18th century,which is of great help in understanding the social cultures and traditions of Taiwan at that time.With the book published in the seventh year of the Qianlong reign with reference to the author's growing background and farming experience,this paper explored agricultural life in early Taiwan residents society in the Qing Dynasty based on its descriptions of foods and fruits.According to this study,foods consumed by people in Taiwan back then can be classified into staple foods,non-staple foods,beverages and condiments.Specifically,staple foods included millet and Dudu(millet rice cake),while non-staple foods contained venison and fish.Beverages were wine-based and condiments were sucrose products.As for fruits,a variety of items were mentioned,including cinnamon,watermelon,bodhi fruit,mandarin orange,tangerine,jackfruit,pineapple,and custard pear.
