Objective:To investigate the effects of multimodal teaching in curriculum New Drug Research and Development. Methods:Undergraduates majoring in clinical pharmacy, enrolled in 2018 and 2019 in Wannan Medical College, were recruited, and compared for the teaching effects with traditional teaching method and multimodal teaching method in New Drug Research and Development.Students enrolled in 2018(n=61,control group)and 2019(n=57,observational group)respectively received traditional teaching and multimodal teaching respectively. The teaching effects were assessed by usual performance and final examination scores and questionnaire survey. Results:The average scores of usual performance and final examination as well as the excellent rate were significantly higher in the observational group than in the control group(84.00±8.27,82.74±5.32,82.45%vs.74.90±2.31,72.72±11.68,24.59%,respectively).The questionnaire survey showed that satisfaction scores about teaching methods and satisfaction rates about teaching effects in the observational group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Multimodal teaching method can effectively stimulate students′learning interest and improve students′performance. Its overall teaching effect is better than that of the traditional teaching method.
