In-depth exploration was conducted on the application of the room-and-pillar mining method in the remining of residual coal seams,aiming to improve the recovery rate and mining efficiency.The characteristics and advantages of the room-and-pillar mining method were introduced in detail,including less investment,flexible operation and high efficiency.At the same time,the important influence of design and operation on mining results,and the influence of geological characteristics on mining results were emphasized.Combining theoretical analysis and case studies,a series of recommendations and schemes for optimizing coal mining were put forward,in order to achieve safe and efficient coal mining and meet the growing energy demand.
