Based on data from the 2018 China Health and Elderly Tracking Survey, the impact of the number of chronic diseases and multimorbidity patterns on health-related quality of life in older adults was explored.By using the European Five-Dimensional Health Scale(EQ-5D)as a measurement tool for health-related quality of life, the performance of older adults in five dimensions(mobility,self-care,daily activities,pain/discomfort,and anxiety/frustration)and the rank of each dimension were analyzed, and the health status of older adults was assessed by calculating the composite score. It was found that older adults with a higher number of chronic co-morbidities had lower health utility values. The difference in the degree of impact of the four chronic co-morbidity patterns of cardiometabolic, respiratory, visceral arthritis, and cognitive impairment on the health of older adults was significant(p<0.05).In the future,we should strengthen the early screening of older adults with multiple chronic diseases, especially those with visceral arthritis co-morbidities,and develop health management programs and interventions for older adults with multiple co-morbidities,so as to provide strategic recommendations for our country's active response to healthy aging and active health.
