摘要
百日咳是由百日咳鲍特菌感染引起的高度传染性疾病。尽管疫苗接种覆盖率很高,百日咳仍对全世界婴幼儿造成致命威胁。现有疫苗提供的低效保护是百日咳防控效果不理想的重要原因。百日咳鲍特菌感染仅限于呼吸道,保护呼吸道黏膜有助于更好地控制百日咳。近年来,多种百日咳鼻内疫苗已被开发用于临床前或临床试验研究,包括百日咳减毒活疫苗、含黏膜佐剂的无细胞百日咳疫苗、全细胞百日咳疫苗、百日咳外膜囊泡疫苗等。本文总结了黏膜免疫在预防百日咳鲍特菌感染中的作用和基于鼻腔黏膜免疫的百日咳疫苗研究进展。
Pertussis is a highly contagious disease caused by Bordetella pertussis infection.Despite high vaccination coverage,pertussis still poses a fatal threat to infants and young children globally.Insufficient protection provided by existing vaccines is an important reason for unsatisfactory pertussis prevention and control.Protection of respiratory mucosa may contribute to better protection against pertussis as Bordetella pertussis colonizes only the respiratory tract.In recent years,various intranasal pertussis vaccines have been developed for preclinical or clinical trials,including live attenuated pertussis vaccines,acellular pertussis vaccines containing mucosal adjuvants,whole-cell pertussis vaccines,and pertussis outer membrane vesicle vaccines.In this article,we summarize the role of mucosal immunization in pertussis prevention and advances in the development of intranasal pertussis vaccines.
