摘要
《园艺专业英语》是本科教学体系中连接专业提升和社会需求的一门工具性课程。该课程的学习效果直接与学生毕业后的考研深造和就业方向选择密切相关。结合“新农科”建设背景和社会需求下的园艺专业人才培养,以甘肃农业大学园艺学院《园艺专业英语》课程为例,从课程知识体系、生源结构、师资结构、教学方法和课程评价五方面分析了该课程的教学现状与存在问题,同时根据教学实践针对性地提出从高阶知识体系搭建、混合式课程设计、师资水平提升、多元化考核体系构建等方面进行课程改革,以期为创新农林高校《园艺专业英语》教学模式和提高该课程教学质量提供参考,同时为培养适应社会需求的国际化农林人才提供助力。
"Special English for Horticulture"is an instrumental course in the undergraduate teaching system that connects professional improvement and social demand.The learning effect of this course in students is closely related to the pursuit of master's degree and the career choice after graduation.Combining the training of horticultural professionals under the construction background of the"new agricultural science"with the social demand,this paper analyzes the current teaching status and problems of this course from five aspects:the knowledge system,the student's source,the teachers,the teaching methods and the course evaluation,as an example of this course in College of Horticulture in Gansu Agricultural University.Meanwhile,according to the teaching practice,we put forward the reform measures and countermeasures,including the construction of higher-order knowledge system,the design of hybrid courses,the improvement in teachers'level,and the construction of diversified evaluation system,in order to provide reference for the innovation of teaching mode and improvement of teaching quality of"Special English for Horticulture"in agricultural and forestry universities,and to provide assistance for the cultivation of internationalized agricultural and forestry talents adapted to the demands of the society.
