摘要
基于四期中国教育追踪调查数据,构建双重差分模型来评估农村义务教育学生营养改善计划对我国农村青少年人力资本积累的效果。结果表明,营养改善计划显著提高了居住在农村、城镇及城郊地区学生的学业表现,使得学生的学习成绩平均增加了5.101个标准差,且这一促进作用随着时间推移不断增加。进一步分析表明,营养摄入使得学生更有可能升学进入高中并提高其高一成绩排名。研究结果对于制定减小城乡健康与发展不平等、促进教育公平的公共政策具有重要启示。
Based on China Education Panel Survey(CEPS),this paper constructs a Difference-in-Difference(DID) model to evaluate the effect of nutrition improvement program for rural students receiving compulsory education in China.The results show that nutrition improvement program significantly improves the academic performance of students living in rural,urban and suburban areas,resulting in an average increase of 5.101 standard deviations.And the effect increased over time.Further analysis shows that nutritional intake effectively increases the likelihood of teenagers entering high school and helps to improve their high school ranking.The results have important implications for the formulation of public policies to reduce inequalities in health and development and to secure fair access to education.
