摘要
有效运用厚翻译策略可以实现译本内的深化和译本外的补偿,促进中华经典诗词的传播与接受。《毛泽东诗词精华》关切文化交流需求,彰显了厚翻译的译者痕迹。基于这一认识,本文对译文阐释性材料较丰富这一现象进行分析。研究发现,文本前言有助于阐明译者立场,展现文本价值;正文注释介入原文背景信息,让源语文本涉及的社会历史文化得以显现;文后附录再现源语言知识,凸显译者地位。厚翻译不仅能加深目的语读者对原作社会历史文化因素的认知,推动其对他者文化的尊重与接受,还能促进译者发挥主体性以架设中西方文明沟通的桥梁,增加二者的共通共融性。
The effective use of thick translation strategy can achieve deepening within the translation and compensation outside the translation,promoting the dissemination and acceptance of classic Chinese poems.Gems of Mao Zedong’s Poems is concerned with cultural needs and reveals the traces of the translator’s preference for thick translation.In this sense,this article elucidates the phenomenon that this translation is extremely rich in interpretive materials,finding that:the preface to the text helps to clarify the translator’s stand and reveal the value of the text;text annotations introduce the background of the original text and make the source culture visible;and the appendix reproduces the knowledge of the source language and highlights the translator’s position.Thus,it is concluded that thick translation cannot only deepen target readers’cognition of the source culture and motivate their respect and acceptance of the other culture,but also promote the translator’s subjectivity to build a new bridge between Chinese and Western civilizations and increase the commonality and integration between them.
