Objective To determine the contents of serum markers of myocardial injury, such as cardiac troponin I(cTnI),creatine kinase-MB(CK-MB)and myoglobin(Myo),at different temperature and storage time, and to explore the changes of these serum markers with the extension of storage time. Methods The central venous blood of 96 patients with cardiovascular diseases was collected and divided into two groups, which were stored at 4°C and 25±3°C respectively. The contents of cTnl,CK-MB and Myo in serum were measured at different storage time, including immediately(O h)after blood drawing,24 h,72 h,168 h and 240 h.The changes were explored and the correlation analysis was conducted. Results The change of serum Myo was not obvious in the refrigeration group, while the serum cTnl and CK-MB decreased with the extension of storage time. For room-temperature group, serum Myo increased with the extension of storage time, while serum cTnI and CK-MB decreased. Conclusion The blood samples stored in refrigeration for O~240 hours and at room-temperature for O~168 hours can be used to explore the myocardial injury at death, which is expected to be a new method to diagnose early myocardial injury.
