This paper describes the characteristics of intelligent substations, issues in the operation and maintenance safety and equipment maintenance of intelligent substations, equipment maintenance strategies, including safety risk assessment, creation of management systems, operation and equipment maintenance systems of intelligent substations, optimization of system control and online monitoring.
