Emoticons,as image symbols,have been widely disseminated in online social interactions.Outstanding emoticon cases can successfully achieve IP commercialization,but there are few successful imitators,leading to a severe homogenization phenomenon in the emoticon market.The paper explores the reasons behind this issue reveals limitations in production techniques,relatively lenient platform audits,and a market-driven focus on quantity over quality.
