Construction of comprehensive drought index and its application in Guizhou Province

摘要 构建有效干旱指数是识别、评价实际旱情的关键,以贵州省为研究区域,基于月尺度降水、气温、土壤含水量数据,以GB/T 20481-2017《气象干旱等级》中综合干旱指数(CI)的构建方法为参考,采用主成分分析对上述多源数据集进行融合计算,提出了一种物理机制清晰、应用简便的综合干旱指数(PTS)。评价了该指数在贵州省的适用性,检验了该指数表征旱情时空演变全过程特征的能力,分析了该指数与其他常用干旱指数间的性能差异。结果表明:在干旱历时与强度方面,新构建的综合干旱指数能够准确地识别出贵州省全部6次典型旱情,同时其刻画的干旱发生-发展-消退全过程时空演变特征与历史资料基本一致。该干旱指数不但克服了典型气象干旱指数出现的高估旱情等级问题,而且对旱情态势走向评价更加准确。 The construction of an effective drought index is the key to identifying and evaluating the actual drought situation.Taking Guizhou Province as the study area,a comprehensive drought index with a clear physical mechanism and easy application was developed based on monthly precipitation,temperature and soil moisture content according to the method in GB/T 20481-2017.The above multi-source data sets were fused and calculated by Principal Component Analysis.The applicability of the index in the study area was evaluated.The ability of the index to represent the whole process of spatio-temporal evolution of drought was tested.The performance dfference between this index and other commonly used drought indexes was analyzed.The results show that the newly constructed comprehensive drought index can accurately identify all 6 typical droughts in the study area in terms of drought duration and intensity.Meanwhile,the spatio-temporal characteristics of the whole process of drought occurrence,development and subside are basically consistent with the historical data.This drought index not only overcomes the problem of overestimation of drought grade that exists in typical meteorological drought index but also evaluates the drought trend more accurately.The research results can provide a technical reference for drought relief work in Guizhou Province.
