摘要
以中国国际媒体《中国日报》和新华社发布的“双碳目标”相关英语新闻为对象,运用视觉语法和符际互补关系理论探究新闻图像意义和图文互动关系,进行多模态话语分析与对外传播研究。结果表明,这一议题的新闻图像以科学呈现为主,同时涉及生态、政治、社会、经济等多个维度,文本与图像通过不同的互补关系共同建构了新闻的意义。基于话语分析的结果,提出提升“双碳目标”对外传播效果的多模态话语策略。
Multimodal discourse analysis and external communication research are conducted on dual carbon goals in English-language news reporting by China’s international media outlets,China Daily and Xinhua News Agency.Drawing upon visual grammar and the theory of intersemiotic complementarity,the research investigates the meaning of news images and the relationship between texts and images.The findings reveal that the news images on this topic predominantly adopt a scientific presentation while also encompassing multiple dimensions such as ecology,politics,society,and economy.The texts and images,through various complementary relationships,collaboratively construct the meaning of the news.Based on the results,multimodal discourse strategies for the external communication effect of dual carbon goals proposed.
