摘要
系统功能语言学为多模态话语分析提供了一个有效的理论框架。本文在多模态话语分析的视角下,从文化、语境、内容三个层面对《海盗的故事》这首诗歌的汉译进行研究,探讨英语儿童诗歌的汉译是如何运用图文两个符号系统构建儿童诗歌的多模态意义。在《海盗的故事》的汉译中,文本是主要的交际形式,而图画则起到了强化的作用,因此在翻译的过程中,除了注重文本的翻译问题外,图像这一符号系统能起到的作用也不可忽视。
Systemic functional linguistics provides an effective theoretical framework for multimodal discourse analysis.From the perspective of multimodal discourse analysis,this paper studies the Chinese translations of Pirate Story from three aspects:cultural level,contextual level and content level,and discusses how the Chinese translation of English children's poetry uses the two semiotic system(text and image)to construct the multimodal meaning of children's poetry.In the Chinese translations of Pirate Story,text is the main form of communication while illustration plays an enhanced role.Therefore,not only the translation of text should be focused on,the function of image cannot be ignored.
