Objective To analyze the clinical measures and effects of acute upper gastrointestinal bleeding in type 2 diabetes patients. Methods 70 cases of type 2 diabetes patients with acute upper gastrointestinal bleeding treated in Midong People's Hospital of Urumqi City from June 2020 to September 2021 were selected as the research objects, and divided into conventional group(n=35,conventional treatment)and intervention group(n=35,insulin glygine treatment). The clinical therapeutic effect of the two groups was compared. Results The duration of fecal occult blood turning negative, length of hospital stay, incidence of hypoglycemia and rebleeding in the intervention group were lower than those in the conventional group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Fasting blood glucose and insulin use in the intervention group were significantly better than those in the conventional group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the total effective rate of the intervention group was 97.14% higher than that of the conventional group(80.00%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion In patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus with acute upper gastrointestinal bleeding, insulin glargine treatment has significant effects, which can effectively control blood sugar, prevent patients from rebleeding, and shorten the length of hospital stay.
